Homebrew Launcher 有許多不同的進入點或啟動方法。

如果你沒有下列任何的遊戲，而且沒有另一台能使用 Homebrew Launcher 的 3DS，最便宜的方法是在 eShop 上免費下載《悄悄互動日記 （Swapdoodle）》，然後找另一個可以傳送「Doodlebomb」漏洞的人（試試[這裡](https://www.reddit.com/r/3dshacks/comments/64yydp/)）幫你。

如果你找不到另一個有用「Doodlebomb」的人，或目前沒有任何底下所列的遊戲或另一個可以使用 Homebrew Launcher 的主機，最便宜的方法大概就是買「任天堂之選」版本的[《薩爾達傳說時之笛 3D》](https://amzn.to/2fkaKdp)（請確保你所購買的卡帶符合你主機的區碼）以及[Powersaves](https://amzn.to/2fb3VY7)（所有區碼皆相容），然後再使用底下所列的 oot3dhax。

請確保你裝置的無線網路已經開啟，因為 udsploit（在下一頁中使用）將需要它才能使用，某些裝置（New 3DS 及 2DS）無法從 Homebrew Launcher 調整無線通信設置。 只需要將無線網路啟動即可；不須連接至任何網路或熱點。
