There have been reports 'o a wave 'o bans bein' handed out to CFW users by Nintendo. Fer ye protection, please be followin' these steps before startin' 'tis guide:

1. Be off to System Settin's, then "Internet Setttings", then "SpotPass", then "Sending of System Information"
1. Disable th' "Sending of System Information" option
1. Be out 'o th' System Settin's
1. Be off to ye Friend List (th' Face Icon in ye HOME Menu's top row)
  + If ye receive an error 'n be kicked out 'o th' menu, th' Friend List settin' be disabled already
1. Be off to th' Friend List settin's, then "Friend Notification Settings", then "Show friends what you're playing"
1. Disable th' "Show friends what you're playing" option
1. Be out 'o ye Friend List

#### What ye need

* Th' latest release 'o [SafeB9SInstaller](https://github.com/d0k3/SafeB9SInstaller/releases/latest)
* Th' latest release 'o [boot9strap](https://github.com/SciresM/boot9strap/releases/latest) *(standard boot9strap; not th' `devkit` file, 'n not th' `ntr` file)*
* Th' latest release 'o [Luma3DS](https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases/latest) *(th' `.7z` file)*
* [`cleanup_sd_card.gm9`]({{ base_path }}/gm9_scripts/cleanup_sd_card.gm9)

#### Instructions

##### Section I - Set th' sails (prep work)

Fer all steps in 'tis section, overwrite any existin' files on ye SD card.

1. Insert ye SD card into ye computer
1. Create a folder named `boot9strap` on th' root 'o ye SD card
1. Copy `cleanup_sd_card.gm9` to the `/gm9/scripts/` folder on your SD card
1. Copy `SafeB9SInstaller.firm` from th' SafeB9SInstaller `.zip` to th' `/luma/payloads/` folder on ye SD card
1. Copy `boot9strap.firm` 'n `boot9strap.firm.sha` from th' boot9strap `.zip` to th' `/boot9strap/` folder on ye SD card
1. Reinsert ye SD card into ye device

##### Section II - Installin' boot9strap

1. Reboot holdin' (Start) durin' boot to launch th' Luma3DS chainloader menu
1. Launch SafeB9SInstaller by pressin' (A)
1. Wait fer all safety checks to be completed
1. When prompted, input th' key combo given to be installin' boot9strap
1. Once it has completed, hold (Start) while pressing (A) to reboot your device to the Luma3DS chainloader
  + If you encounter an error booting your device after the B9S update, just continue to fix it

##### Section III - Update Luma3DS

1. Power off ye device
1. Insert ye SD card into ye computer
1. Copy `boot.firm` from the Luma3DS `.7z` to the root of your SD card, replacing the existing file
1. Reinsert ye SD card into ye device

##### Section IV - Cleanup SD Card

Note that this script will remove the `/boot9strap/` and `/cias/` folders from your SD card!

1. Launch GodMode9 by holdin' (Start) durin' boot
1. If ye be prompted to create an essential files backup, press (A) to do so, then press (A) to continue once it has completed
1. If you are prompted to fix the RTC date&time, press (A) to do so, then set the date and time, then press (A) to continue
  + Note that, if you had to fix the RTC date and time, you will have to fix the time in the System Settings as well after this guide
1. Press (Home) to bring up th' action menu
1. Select "Scripts..."
1. Select "cleanup_sd_card"
1. When prompted, push (A) to proceed
1. Press (A) to continue
1. Hold (R) and press (Start) to power off your device
