<p>Super-skaterhax (when used to launch the Homebrew Launcher) is compatible with New models on version 11.16.0 in all regions except TWN/CHN.</p>
<pclass="notice--warning">The instructions provided only apply to the New 3DS, New 3DS XL, and New 2DS XL. Please ensure that the device you are modding is a New 3DS, New 3DS XL, or New 2DS XL before continuing.</p>
<h3id="what-you-need">What You Need</h3>
<ul>
<li>The latest release of <ahref="https://github.com/LumaTeam/Luma3DS/releases/latest">Luma3DS</a> (the Luma3DS <codeclass="language-plaintext highlighter-rouge">.zip</code> file)</li>
<li>The latest release of <ahref="https://github.com/zoogie/super-skaterhax/releases">super-skaterhax</a> (the release <codeclass="language-plaintext highlighter-rouge">.zip</code> file)</li>
</ul>
<h4id="section-i---updating-the-system">Section I - Updating the System</h4>
<ol>
<li>Update your device by going to System Settings, then “Other Settings”, then going all the way to the right and using “System Update”
<ul>
<li>The updater may display a message saying “Your system is up to date” instead of updating. This is normal if you are already up to date; continue to the next section</li>
<li>If this gives you an error, set both your DNS settings and Proxy settings to “Auto”</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ol>
<h4id="section-ii---prep-work">Section II - Prep Work</h4>
<p>In this section, you will copy the files needed to trigger both super-skaterhax and the Homebrew Launcher.</p>
<ol>
<li>Power off your device</li>
<li>Insert your SD card into your computer</li>
<li>Copy <codeclass="language-plaintext highlighter-rouge">boot.firm</code> and <codeclass="language-plaintext highlighter-rouge">boot.3dsx</code> from the Luma3DS <codeclass="language-plaintext highlighter-rouge">.zip</code> to the root of your SD card
<ul>
<li>The root of the SD card refers to the initial directory on your SD card where you can see the Nintendo 3DS folder, but are not inside of it</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Copy all files inside the folder for your device’s region in the super-skaterhax <codeclass="language-plaintext highlighter-rouge">.zip</code> to the root of your SD card</li>
<li>Reinsert your SD card into your device</li>
<li>Power on your device</li>
</ol>
<h4id="section-iii---super-skaterhax">Section III - super-skaterhax</h4>
<p>In this section, you will visit the browser exploit webpage, which will launch the Homebrew Launcher.</p>
<pclass="notice--info">If you haven’t already, make sure you have a working Internet connection set up on your device.</p>
<li>If you are unable to open the camera, open the Internet Browser and manually type the URL instead (<codeclass="language-plaintext highlighter-rouge">https://zoogie.github.io/web/super/</code> for EUR/USA/JPN, <codeclass="language-plaintext highlighter-rouge">https://zoogie.github.io/web/korea</code> for KOR)</li>
</ul>

<li>Tap the QR code button and scan one of the following QR codes for your device’s region <ahref="https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/28328903/226086338-585bfdac-0aac-44c0-b413-89206d2815d8.png">here</a>
<ul>
<li>If you get a security certificate warning, press (A) to allow the connection</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Press the (Select) button to open the bookmark tab
<ul>
<li>If your (Select) button does not respond, tap the star icon on the bottom-left corner of the screen</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Tap “Bookmark this page”</li>
<li>Press (B) once to return to the browser</li>
<li>Press (Start) to open the context menu
<ul>
<li>If your (Start) button does not respond, tap the 3-line menu on the bottom-right corner of the screen</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Tap on “Settings”</li>
<li>Tap on “Delete Cookies”</li>
<li>Press (A) to continue</li>
<li>Press (Home) to return to the HOME Menu, then immediately press (A) to launch the browser again</li>
<li>Select the “GO GO!” button on the top screen
<ul>
<li>If any prompts appear, approve all of them</li>
<li>If the exploit was successful, your device will have booted into the Homebrew Launcher</li>
<li>Power off your device</li>
</ol>
<h4id="section-iv---hardware-button-check">Section IV - Hardware Button Check</h4>
<ol>
<li>With your device still powered off, hold the following buttons: (Left Shoulder) + (Right Shoulder) + (D-Pad Up) + (A), and while holding these buttons together, power on your device
<ul>
<li>Keep holding the buttons until the device boots to a system update screen (this is Safe Mode)</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>If you see the system update screen, press Cancel
<ul>
<li>Your device will power off</li>
<li>If the device boots to the HOME Menu, just power off your device</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ol>
