Każdy kartridż z grą posiada kopię wersji firmware konsoli która jest wymagana do jej działania, co pozwala każdemu kto korzysta z niższej wersji firmware na użycie kartridżu do zaktualizowania konsoli do tej wersji (nawet bez połączenia internetowego).

Note that Cart Updates will only deliver updates to core features, such as the System Settings, Home Menu, etc. Cart Updates will not deliver updates to Nintendo 3DS Sound and Network features, such as System Transfer, Internet Browser, StreetPass Mii Plaza, or eShop.
|
|
|
|
This means that using a Cart Update from a version containing an older Nintendo 3DS Sound version *(<7.0.0 for Old 3DSs in the EUR, JPN, KOR, and USA regions)* to one that introduced a newer Nintendo 3DS Sound version will break [Soundhax](homebrew-launcher-(soundhax))! You will need an [alternate method](homebrew-launcher-(alternatives)) of entering the Homebrew Launcher!

|
This also means that a cart update will NOT install a browser if you do not already have one. Metoda ta zaktualizuje **tylko** ścisłe firmware konsoli *(na przykład, 2.1.0-0 ->6.0.0-0)*. Ostatnia cyfra, *(-0)*, oznaczająca wersję przeglądarki internetowej, **nie* ulegnie zmianie.

1. Boot your device into recovery mode by holding (L) + (R) + (A) + (UP) while powering on
|
|
1. If prompted, decline the update
|
|
1. Reboot your device
|
|
1. Put the game in your device if it is not already
|
|
1. Spróbuj uruchomić grę
|
|
1. Pozwól na aktualizację firmware kiedy zostaniesz o nią zapytany
