### Cosa serve

* **For SD cards 32GB or smaller:** the latest version of [SD Formatter](https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/sd-memory-card-formatter-for-windows-download/)
* **For SD cards 64GB or larger:** The latest version of [guiformat](http://ridgecrop.co.uk/index.htm?guiformat.htm)

### Instructions (32GB or smaller)

1. Inserisci la scheda SD nel tuo computer
1. Se la scheda SD ha file o cartelle al suo interno, copia tutto in una cartella sul tuo computer
1. Run `SD Card Formatter Setup` (the `.exe` file) in the downloaded `.zip` file with Adminstrator privileges, then install the program
1. Run `SD Card Formatter` from the Start Menu
1. Select your SD card's drive letter for "Select card"

	Assicurati di scegliere la lettera del drive corretta, altrimenti potresti cancellare accidentalmente l'unità sbagliata!

1. Inserisci qualunque cosa su "Volume label"
1. Assicurati che "Quick Format" sia selezionato
1. Click "Format"
1. Clicca "OK"
1. Attendi il termine della formattazione
1. Clicca "OK"
1. Close SD Card Formatter
1. Se la scheda SD aveva precedentemente file o cartelle al suo interno, ricopia il contenuto dal tuo computer

### Instructions (64GB or larger)

1. Inserisci la scheda SD nel tuo computer
1. Se la scheda SD ha file o cartelle al suo interno, copia tutto in una cartella sul tuo computer
1. Esegui `guiformat.exe`
1. Seleziona su "Drive" la lettera del drive della tua scheda SD

	Assicurati di scegliere la lettera del drive corretta, altrimenti potresti cancellare accidentalmente l'unità sbagliata!

1. Seleziona la dimensione corretta su "Allocation unit size"
  + If the SD card is 64GB, choose 32768
  * If the SD card is larger than 64GB, choose 65536
1. Inserisci qualunque cosa su "Volume label"
1. Assicurati che "Quick Format" sia selezionato
1. Seleziona "Start"
1. Clicca "OK"
1. Attendi il termine della formattazione
1. Clicca su "Chiudi"
1. Se la scheda SD aveva precedentemente file o cartelle al suo interno, ricopia il contenuto dal tuo computer

### Common Errors using guiformat

* Failed to open device: GetLastError()=32
  + Chiudi tutto ciò che potrebbe stare utilizzando la scheda SD, come ad esempio qualunque schermata Esplora Risorse.
