b0b8926c75 Fix "before/after" cursor paging for API call "feed.query"
Summary:
Ref T13266. See <https://discourse.phabricator-community.org/t/undefined-method-setafterid-when-calling-feed-query/2653>.

This older API call needs an update to the newer paging/cursor API.

Test Plan: Called `feed.query` with an "after" parameter.

8449c1793a Convert complex query subclasses to use internal cursors
Summary:
Depends on D20292. Ref T13259. This converts the rest of the `getPagingValueMap()` callsites to operate on internal cursors instead.

These are pretty one-off for the most part, so I'll annotate them inline.

Test Plan:
  - Grouped tasks by project, sorted by title, paged through them, saw consistent outcomes.
  - Queried edges with "edge.search", paged through them using the "after" cursor.
  - Poked around the other stuff without catching any brokenness.

e25dc2dfe2 Revert "feed.http-hooks" HTTP request construction to use "http_build_query()" so nested "storyData" is handled correctly
Summary:
See <https://discourse.phabricator-community.org/t/storydata-is-blank-in-outgoing-requests-to-the-configured-feed-http-hooks/2366/>.

This behavior was changed by D20049. I think it's generally good that we not accept/encode nested values in a PHP-specific way, but retain `feed.http-hooks` compatibility for now.

773b4eaa9e Separate "feed" and "notifications" better, allow stories to appear in notifications only
Summary:
Depends on D19861. Ref T13222. See PHI996. Fixes T10743. Currently, notifications only work if a story also has a feed rendering.

Separate "visible in feed" and "visible in notifications", and make notifications query only notifications and vice versa.

Then, set the test notification stories to be visible in notifications only, not feed.

This could be refined a bit (there's no way to have the two views render different values today, for example) but since the only actual use case we have right now is test notifications I don't want to go //too// crazy future-proofing it. I could imagine doing some more of this kind of stuff in Conpherence eventually, though, perhaps.

Test Plan: Sent myself test notifications, saw them appear on my profile timeline and in the JS popup, and in my notifications menu, but not in feed.

88189f723f Make a Feed query construction less clever/sneaky for new qsprintf() semantics
Summary:
Ref T13216. Ref T13217. Currently, we build this query in a weird way so we end up with `(1, 2, 3)` on both 32-bit and 64-bit systems.

I can't reproduce the string-vs-int MySQL key issue on any system I have access to, so just simplify this and format as `('1', '2', '3')` instead.

The issue this is working around is that MySQL would (I think?) sometimes appear to do something goofy and miss the key if you formatted the query with strings. I never really nailed this down and could have either been mistaken about it or it could be fixed in all modern versions of MySQL. Until we have better evidence to the contrary, assume MySQL is smart enough to handle this sensibly now.

Test Plan: Ran daemons with Feed publish workers, no longer received query warnings.

bcc90d8c6b Fix an off-by-one error affecting mail rendering of inlines on the final line of a file
Summary: Depends on D19837. Ref T13216. See PHI985. There's an off-by-one error here between how inline comments store "length" and how context rendering treats "length". We need to add 1 to the length, but currently do it a little too early. Do it slightly later so that inlines on the final line of a file render properly.

6ed123e080 Propagate "unexpandable" PHIDs to feed notification recipient expansion
Summary:
See PHI466. Ref T13108. Somewhat recently, new rules were added so that "Resigning" from a revision takes you off the default recipient list, even if you're still a member of a project or package that is still a reviewer or subscriber.

However, these rules don't currently apply to the similar expansion which occurs in notifications. If you resign from a revision you may still get some notifications (just not email) if a package or project you're a member of is a reviewer or subscriber.

(Possibly these should eventually share more code, but just get things working for now.)

Test Plan:
  - Created a revision as A.
  - Added B as a reviewer.
  - Added a package B is an owner for as a reviewer.
  - As B, resigned. (Make sure B is also not an explicit subscriber.)
  - Commented on the revision as A.

129e3a1208 Fix a minor/harmless race with feed publishers in certain draft states
Summary:
Depends on D18851. Ref T13035. After D18819, revision creation transactions may be split into two groups (if prototypes are enabled).

This split means we have two workers. The first worker doesn't publish feed stories or mail; the second one does.

Currently, both workers call `shouldPublishFeedStory()` before they queue, and then again after the daemons pull them out of the queue. However, the answer to this question can change.

Specifically, this happens:

  - `arc` creates a revision.
  - The first transaction group applies, creating the revision as a draft, and returns `false` from `shouldPublishFeedStory()`, and does not generate related PHIDs. It queues a daemon to send mail, expecting it not to publish a feed story.
  - The second transaction group applies, promoting the revision to "needs review". Since the revision has promoted, `shouldPublishFeedStory()` now returns true. This editor generates related PHIDs and queues a daemon task, expecting it to send mail / publish feed.
  - A few milliseconds pass.
  - The first job gets pulled out of the daemon queue and worked on. It does not have any feed metadata because the object wasn't publishable when the job was queued -- but `shouldPublishFeedStory()` now returns true, so it tries to publish a story without any metadata available. Slightly bad stuff happens (see below).
  - The second job gets pulled out of the daemon queue and worked on. This one has metadata and works fine.

The "slightly bad stuff" is that we publish an empty feed story with no references to any objects, then try to push it to hooks and other listeners. Since it doesn't have any references, it fails to load during the "push to external listeners" phase.

This is harmless but clutters the log and doesn't help anything.

Instead, cache the state of "are we publishing a feed story for this object?" when we queue the worker so it can't race.

Test Plan:
  - Enabled prototypes.
  - Disabled all Herald triggers for Harbormaster build plans.
  - Ran `bin/phd debug task` in one window.
  - Created a revision in a separate window.
  - Before patch: saw "unable to load feed story" errors in the daemon log.
  - After patch: no more "unable to load feed story" errors.

Summary:
Ref T11098. Mixture of issues here:

  - Similar problem to D16112, where users with no settings at all could fail to fall back to the global defaults.
    - I made `UserPreferencesQuery` responsible for building defaults instead to simplify this, since we have 4 or 5 callsites which need to do it and they aren't easily reducible.
  - Handle cases where `metamta.one-mail-per-recipient` is off (and thus users can not have any custom settings) more explicitly.
  - When `metamta.one-mail-per-recipient` is off, remove the "Email Format" panel for users only -- administrators can still access it in global preferences.

Test Plan:
  - Deleted a user's preferences, changed globals, purged cache, made sure defaults reflected global defaults.
  - Changed global mail tags, sent mail to the user, verified it was dropped in accordinace with global settings.
  - Changed user's settings to get the mail instead, verified mail was sent.
  - Toggled user's Re / Vary settings, verified mail subject lines reflected user settings.
  - Disabled `metamta.one-mail-per-recipient`, verified user "Email Format" panel vanished.
  - Edited "Email Format" in single-mail-mode in global prefs as an administrator.

Summary:
Ref T6817. Fixes T8731. On the old `secure` host, `feed.public` was set to `true`. I didn't bring the option over, which caused the secondary issue in T8731.

Specifically, when `feed.public` is off, a logged-out user looking at feed can't see //any// stories, so they query all of feed until they hit the time limit.

To fix this immediately, just use the most open policy, which is basically equivalent but always correct.

  - Clean up policy handling.

4adaf53bf0 Dramatically increase cache hit rate for feed
Summary:
Ref T8631. The query plan for feed stories is really bad right now, because we miss caches we should be hitting:

  - The workspace cache is stored at each query, so adjacent queries can't benefit from the cache (only subqueries). Feed has primarily sibling queries.
    - There is no technical reason to do this. Store the workspace cache on the root query, so sibling queries can hit it.
  - In `ObjectQuery`, we check the workspace once, then load all the PHIDs. When the PHIDs are a mixture of transactions and objects, we always miss the workspace and load the objects twice.
    - Instead, check the workspace after loading each type of object.
  - `HandleQuery` does not set itself as the parent query for `ObjectQuery`, so handles never hit the workspace cache.
    - Pass it, so they can hit the workspace cache.
  - Feed's weird `PhabricatorFeedStory::loadAllFromRows()` method does not specify a parent query on its object/handle queries.
    - Just declare the object query to be the "root" query until this eventually gets cleaned up.

c71873ed7b Fix feed query cursor-based pagination on 32-bit systems
Summary: Fixes T8503. On 32-bit systems, these 64-bit integers will be mangled by the '%d' conversion implied by the 'int' type.

Test Plan: Somewhat guessing here since I don't have a 32-bit system handy, but this strongly echoes similar issues in the past. Feed works fine locally. Looked at the generated queries.

cc20a6c4d3 [Redesign] Lots of minor color changes
Summary: Ref T8099. Makes subheaders in object lists darker with a background. Moves to lighter icons in the header with a dark instead of blue hover state. Gives a nicer blue selected state for sidenavs.

Test Plan: Just eyeballing a lot of this, but with some level of consistency.

2e54b3ff57 Fix excessively-conservative feed story policy checks
Summary:
When checking if a user can see a feed story about an object, we currently use the object's primary policy but ignore automatic capabilities.

Instead, proxy both primary policies and automatic capabilities.

Test Plan:
  - Before this patch, users could not see stories about events they were invited to but not permitted to see by the primary policy (this is currently the default for newly created events).
  - After this patch, these invited users can now see the stories.

e27c0b416d Add "Edge Logic" support to PolicyAwareQuery
Summary:
Ref T4100. Ref T5595. This allows PolicyAwareQuery to write all the logic for AND, OR, NOT, and NULL (i.e., "not in any projects") queries against any edge type.

It accepts an edge type and a list of constraints (which are basically just operator-value pairs, like `<NOT, PHID-X-Y>`, meaning the results must not have an edge connecting them to `PHID-X-Y`).

This doesn't actually do anything yet; see future diffs.
