Around October 12, T9551 made project hashtags stricter and prevented them from containing characters like comma (`,`).
Around December 27, D14888 changed how hashtags queries work so that the query does normalization instead of requiring the caller to normalize.
After the Dec 27 change, projects from before Oct 12 with now-invalid hashtags will no longer load when queried directly by hashtag, because the page queries for `old,[silly]hash,,tag` or whatever, it gets normalized into `old_silly_hash_tag`, and then there are no hits.

Summary:
Ref T10010. Ref T5819. General alignment of the stars:
- There were some hacks in Conduit around stripping `fa-...` off icons when reading and writing that I wanted to get rid of.
- We probably have room for a subtitle in the new heavy nav, and using the icon name is a good starting point (and maybe good enough on its own?)
- The project list was real bad looking with redundant tag/names, now it is very slightly less bad looking with non-redundant types?
- Some installs will want to call Milestones something else, and this gets us a big part of the way there.
- This may slightly help to reinforce "tag" vs "policy" vs "group" stuff?
---
I'm letting installs have enough rope to shoot themselves in the foot (e.g., define 100 icons). It isn't the end of the world if they reuse icons, and is clearly their fault.
I think the cases where 100 icons will break down are:
- Icon selector dialog may get very unwieldy.
- Query UI will be pretty iffy/huge with 100 icons.
We could improve these fairly easily if an install comes up with a reasonable use case for having 100 icons.
---
The UI on the icon itself in the list views is a little iffy -- mostly, it's too saturated/bold.
I'd ideally like to try either:
- rendering a "shade" version (i.e. lighter, less-saturated color); or
- rendering a "shade" tag with just the icon in it.
However, there didn't seem to be a way to do the first one right now (`fa-example sh-blue` doesn't work) and the second one had weird margins/padding, so I left it like this for now. I figure we can clean it up once we build the thick nav, since that will probably also want an identical element.
(I don't want to render a full tag with the icon + name since I think that's confusing -- it looks like a project/object tag, but is not.)

Currently, milestone subproject have editable icons/colors, but I don't think this is likely to be used much (the expectation is that milestones will be common and homogenous, and it doesn't make much sense to pick different icons for "Sprint 32" vs "Sprint 33", I think).
Locking the icon and color lets us simplify the form, make milestones more distinct, and potentially reuse the color later for other things (e.g., active/future/past or on time / overdue or whatever else) or just give them a special color to make them more visible.
The best argument for retaining this that I can come up with is that certain milestones may be special (e.g., Sprint 19 is a major release?), but you can just name it "Sprint 19 (v3.0!)" or something, which seems pretty good for now.

Ref T10010. Subprojects have the following general membership rule: if you are a member of a subproject ("Engineering > Backend"), you are also a member of the parent project.
It would be unreasonably difficult to implement this rule directly in SQL when querying `withMemberPHIDs()`, because we'd have to do an arbitrarily large number of arbitrarily deep joins, or fetch and then requery a lot of data.
Instead, introduce "materailized members", which are just a copy of all the effective members of a project. When a subproject has a membership change, we go recompute the effective membership of all the parent projects. Then we can just JOIN to satisfy `withMemberPHIDs()`.
Having this process avialable will also be useful in the future, when a project's membership might be defined by some external source.
Also make milestones mostly work like we'd expect them to with respect to membership and visibility.

I needed to revise the "extended policy check" cycle detection rules. When, e.g., querying a grandchild, they incorrectly detected a cycle because both the child and grandchild needed to check the policy of the grandparent.
Instead, simplify it to just do a basic runaway calldepth check. There are many other safety mechanisms to make it so this can't ever occur.
(Cycle detection does have existing test coverage, and those tests still pass, it just takes a little longer to detect the cycle internally.)

To facilitiate this, we load all project ancestors when querying projects so we can do the view/edit checks.

do_magic();
}
if ($object instanceof SomethingElse) {

...where `Whatever` and `SomethingElse` are first-party applications like ProjectsInterface and SubscribersInterface.
This kind of code is generally bad because third-parties can't add new stuff, and it suggest something is kind of hacky in its architecture. Ideally, we would eventually get rid of almost all of this.
T9789 is a similar discussion of this for the next layer down (`TransactionEditor`) and plans to get rid of branchy-instanceofs there too.
Since I'm about to add more stuff here (for Custom Fields), split it out first so I'm not digging us any deeper than I already dug us.

Fixes T6787. I'm kind of cheating a little bit here by not unifying default selection with `initializeNew(...)` methods, but I figure we can let this settle for a bit and then go do that later. It's pretty minor.
Since we're not doing templates I kind of want to swap the `'template'` key to `'type'` so maybe I'll do that too at some point.
@chad, freel free to change these, I was just trying to make them pretty obvious. I //do// think it's good for them to stand out, but my approach is probably a bit inconsistent/heavy-handed in the new design.

Summary: Ref T8099. This adds a new class which all search engines return for layout. I thought about this a number of ways, and I think this is the cleanest path. Each Engine can return whatever UI bits they needs, and AppSearch or Dashboard picks and lays the bits out as needed. In the AppSearch case, interfaces like Notifications, Calendar, Legalpad all need more custom layouts. I think this also leaves a resonable path forward for NUX as well. Also, not sure I implemented the class correctly, but assume thats easy to fix?

Ref T5681. Ref T6860. This doesn't do anything interesting on its own, just makes the next diff smaller.
In the next diff, policies become aware of the types of objects they're acting on. We need to specify which object type all the "Default View/Edit" settings are for so they get the right rules.
For example, a rule like "Allow task author" is OK for "View Policy" on a task, and also OK for "Default View Policy" on ManiphestApplication. But it's not OK for "Can Create Tasks" on ManiphestApplication.
So annotate all the "template"/"default" policies with their types. The next diff will use these to let you select appropriate rules for the given object type.

Ref T6367. Do all mail, feed, notification and search stuff from the daemons, in all editors.
There are four relatively-stateful editors (Audit, Differential, Phriction, PhortuneCart) which needed special care to move state into the daemons properly.
Beyond that, I moved mailTo/mailCC/feedRelated/feedNotify to be computed before we enter the worker:
- This is simpler, since a lot of editors rely on being able to call `$object->getReviewers()` or similar to compute them.
- This is more correct, since we want to freeze the lists at this moment in time.
Finally, I renamed `loadEdges` to `willPublish` and made it a slightly more general hook.
---
This is a bit fragile and I'm not //thrilled// about it.
It would probably be cleaner to have separate Editor and Publisher classes (something like @fabe's D11329 did). However, I think that's quite a lot of work, and I'd like to see stronger motivation for it (either in this actually being more fragile than I think, or there being other things we get out of it). Overall, I'm comfortable with this change, just definitely not a big fan of the "save" + "load" pattern since I think it's really fragile, nonobvious, hard to debug/predict, etc.

To support a unified "Projects:" query across all applications, a future diff is going to add a set of "Edge Logic" capabilities to `PolicyAwareQuery` which write the required SELECT, JOIN, WHERE, HAVING and GROUP clauses for you.
With the addition of "Edge Logic", we'll have three systems which may need to build components of query claues: ordering/paging, customfields/applicationsearch, and edge logic.
For most clauses, queries don't currently call into the parent explicitly to get default components. I want to move more query construction logic up the class tree so it can be shared.
For most methods, this isn't a problem, but many subclasses define a `buildWhereClause()`. Make all such definitions protected and consistent.
This causes no behavioral changes.

Note that the selected workboard filter is applied before choosing tasks, so if your filter is set to "open tasks" we only batch edit the open (i.e., currently visible) tasks in the column. I think this is more powerful (it lets you use filtering to select task subsets) but might not be completely obvious in all cases (although I do think it's more obvious than the alternative rule -- just an issue of neither rule being completely obvious).

Summary:
Ref T7803. Prior to this change sequence, Query classes conflated paging values (the actual thing that goes in a "x > 3" clause) with cursor values (arbitrary identifiers which track where the user is in a result list).
Although the two can sometimes be the same, the vast majority of implementations are simpler and better when object IDs are used as cursors and paging values are derived from them.
The new stuff handles this in a consistent way, so we're free to separate getPagingValue() from paging. The new method is essentially getResultCursor().
This also implements getPageCursors(), which allows queries to return directional cursors. The inability to do this was a practical limitation blocking the implementation of T7803.
Test Plan:
- Browsed a bunch of results and paged through queries.
- Grepped for removed methods.

Put a `getX()` around the `defineX()` methods so the parent can provide default behaviors.
Also like 60% of methods don't define any special error types; don't require them to implement this method. I want to move away from this in general.

- Ran `arc unit --everything`.
- Called `conduit.query`.
- Browsed Conduit UI.

Summary:
Fixes T7563. Fixes T5201. Reframe this as two separate operations:
- Move before or after a task.
- Move to the beginning or end of a priority.
Then:
- Make all the order queries unambiguous and properly reversible, with an explicit `id` order.
- Just reuse `ManiphestTask` to get results in the correct order.
- Simplify the actual transaction apply logic.
- Detect and recover from cases where tasks have identical or similar subpriorities.
Test Plan:
- Wrote and executed unit tests.
- Dragged and dropped tasks within priorities and between priorities in the main Maniphest view.
- Dragged and dropped tasks within priorities in the workboard view, when ordered by priority.
- Also poked at the "natural" order, but that shouldn't be affected.

Summary:
Fixes T7092. When you name project "Foo" which has primary hashtag "foo" to "Foobar", post this patch the hashtag "foo" gets added as a secondary hashtag. Also makes sure we don't normalize the hashtags in the query function as the wikimedia folks were hitting an issue around capitalization on the hashtag.
Note that T6909 remains "broken" in that you get an error that you can't do that, though if you just omit the additional hashtag it would work fine. I think if a fix is necessary here the best bet would be to simply detect this particular scenario and let things proceed; its a bit tricky though since its about two transactions about to be applied and how they interact with one another...
Test Plan: Made project "Foo" which has primary hashtag "foo". Renamed it to "Foobar" and verified "foo" was added as a secondary hashtag and "foobar" was the primary hashtag. Renamed it again to "Foo" and noted that the hashtags all ended up correct.
