Instructions

Section I - Patching WADs

If you want to see detailed instructions on how to install the WADs, click here! {: .notice--info}

WiiLink has its own versions of the Forecast Channel and the Nintendo Channel, which have also been initially brought back with RiiConnect24. WiiLink's versions are slightly different.

RiiConnect24's Forecast Channel provides an experience more faithful to the original WiiConnect24 service by allowing you to browse and pick from a list of cities that were on the original service. WiiLink's Forecast Channel changes up the list of cities entirely to provide a more localized experience, and many cites are added and some cities you will see on the RiiConnect24 version are removed. However, it's currently a work in progress, and American countries do not have different cities yet.
RiiConnect24's Nintendo Channel contains hundreds of videos that are not available on the WiiLink version. However, WiiLink's version has the recommendations feature working that RiiConnect24 doesn't, which allows you to recommend games and receive statistics.

It's up to you which version to install, however you can only install either version at once. You can switch between the 2 services by installing the WAD of the other version. {: .notice--warning}
