The `[[ ... ]]` syntax accepts and handles characters which would require URL encoding if they appeared in URIs. For example, `[[ 100% Natural Cheese Dust ]]` is a legitimate, supported piece of remarkup syntax, and does not need to be written as `... 100%25 Natural ...`.
Likewise, `[[ BUY $DOGE ]]` is legitimate and does not need to be written as `[[ BUY %24DOGE ]]`. This piece of syntax creates a link to `/w/buy_$doge/`. This may or may not appear in your browser's URL bar as `/w/buy_%24doge/`, but internally "$" is a valid slug character and you'll see `buy_$doge` over Conduit, etc.
However, since users may reasonably copy paths from their browser URL bar, they may have unnecessary URL encoding. The syntax `[[ buy_$doge ]]` is legitimate, but a user copy/pasting may write `[[ buy_%24doge ]]` instead.
Currently, this extra URL encoding causes links to break, since `[[ buy_%24doge ]]` is a treated as link to `/w/buy_24doge/`, just like `[[ Fresh 100%AB Blood ]]` is a link to `/w/fresh_100_ab_blood/`.
To fix this:
- When the target for a link can be URL decoded, try to do lookups on both the un-decoded and decoded variations.
- If the un-decoded variation works, great: use it. This preserves behavior for all existing, working links.
- If the un-decoded variation fails but the decoded variation works, okay: we'll assume you copy-pasted a URL-encoded version and strip URL encoding.
- If both fail, same behavior as before.
Also, use a different spelling for "existent".
See T13084 for some "attacks" based on this behavior. I think the usability affordance this behavior provides greatly outweighs the very mild threat those attacks represent.
Test Plan:
- Created links to existing, nonexisting, and existing-but-not-visible documents, all of which worked normally.
- Created links to `[[ $doge ]]` and `[[ %24doge ]]`, saw them both go to the right place.

Depends on D19009. Ref T13053. For "Must Encrypt" mail, we must currently strip the "Thread-Topic" header because it sometimes contains sensitive information about the object.
I don't actually know if this header is useful or anyting uses it. My understanding is that it's an Outlook/Exchange thing, but we also implement "Thread-Index" which I think is what Outlook/Exchange actually look at. This header may have done something before we implemented "Thread-Index", or maybe never done anything. Or maybe older versions of Excel/Outlook did something with it and newer versions don't, or do less. So it's possible that an even better fix here would be to simply remove this, but I wasn't able to convince myself of that after Googling for 10 minutes and I don't think it's worth hours of installing Exchange/Outlook to figure out. Instead, I'm just trying to simplify our handling of this header for now, and maybe some day we'll learn more about Exchange/Outlook and can remove it.
In a number of cases we already use the object monogram or PHID as a "Thread-Topic" without users ever complaining, so I think that if this header is useful it probably isn't shown to users, or isn't shown very often (e.g., only in a specific "conversation" sub-view?). Just use the object PHID (which should be unique and stable) as a thread-topic, everywhere, automatically.
Then allow this header through for "Must Encrypt" mail.
Test Plan: Processed some local mail, saw object PHIDs for "Thread-Topic" headers.

Summary: Adds a `MenuName` method to applications that `ProfileMenuItem` uses instead of the application name if set. This improves the home/menu/new user experience at little cost. Also renamed the label from Applications to Favorites, since this menu gets altered to provide more than just applications. This also allows instances to set back to Maniphest if they so choose. Overall I think this direction resolves 95% of my concerns, with maybe a small potential downside which I don't really anticipate. We already name Dashboard panels by their object, and that hasn't really caused confusion. I think these links are similar. I click 'Tasks' and get presented a list of my tasks from Maniphest.

Ref T12793. I'd like to understand exactly when we broke this, but this seems to be a minimal fix that shouldn't do anything surprising.
When you move document `/a/` to `/a/b/` and that path doesn't exist yet, the Content transaction currently fails because there's "no content". The content gets added later by the "move" transaction but this is implicit.
To make this work, just ignore the "missing field" error. This is a little roundabout but unlikely to break anything in weird ways.
Test Plan:
- Moved document `/a/b/` to `/a/b/c/`.
- Before patch: error about missing content.
- After patch: move worked properly.

Fixes T9719. Currently, the Herald "Test Console" has a big `instanceof` thing, so new adapters (like a Calendar adapter, or third-party adapters) aren't available automatically. Instead, do a standard modular thing: load the available adapters, ask which ones can test the object the user selected, then let the user pick which one they want to move forward with.
Additionally, it isn't very clear that you can't test "commit hook" rules because they rely on push state which we don't really have a good way to simulate. When the user picks a commit, we now show them the "Hook" events, but the options are disabled and explain why they can not be selected.

- Ran test rules for revisions, commits, mocks, tasks, wiki documents, questions, and outbound mail.

Resolves T7691. This turned out more complex than I really wanted, mainly because I needed to feed the slug information through to both the document renderer and the preview window that appears in the edit controller.
After this change, you can now create relative links in Phriction by doing `[[ ./../some/relative/path ]]`. Relative paths aren't handled anywhere else (they'll still render, but the dots are turned into a literal 'dot' as per existing behaviour).

This interface is very niche, and not really flexible enough to accommodate other result customization (but I don't think we have any plans here)?
I'm just //summarizing// the content of documents, basically showing the first paragraph of their content, summary, etc. This isn't what Google does: it shows snippets surrounding the actual search terms. However, this is more involved and might be less useful in structured data: for example, I'd imagine that the first line of most phriciton documents, maniphest tasks and Differential revisions really might be the best machine-generatable summary of them. The actual contextual snippeting in Google doesn't often seem hugely useful to me. But this might also not be very useful.
There's not much design, not sure if you had any ideas.
I only implemented this for tasks, revisions and the wiki since those seem most useful.
I'm generally on the fence about this, but it's not a ton of work to swap out for something else later. Maybe we can see how it feels? But happy to toss it or rethink the approach.

- Transcripts are now translatable.

Ref T8726. I want to modularize values and reduce how hard-coded / copypasta'd they are.
- Rename `get...StandardCondition()` to `get...StandardType()`, since we can drive both conditions and values from it.
- Rename `STANDARD_LIST` to `STANDARD_PHID_LIST` for consistency: all "lists" are lists of PHIDs.
- For all standard types which don't require typehaeads, lift their logic into the base class.
- I'll lift typeaheads soon, but need to generalize them first.

Summary: Ref T8099. This adds a new class which all search engines return for layout. I thought about this a number of ways, and I think this is the cleanest path. Each Engine can return whatever UI bits they needs, and AppSearch or Dashboard picks and lays the bits out as needed. In the AppSearch case, interfaces like Notifications, Calendar, Legalpad all need more custom layouts. I think this also leaves a resonable path forward for NUX as well. Also, not sure I implemented the class correctly, but assume thats easy to fix?
Test Plan: Review and do a search in each application changed. Grep for all call sites.

Summary: Encountered this playing with T8402 on my test instance. I think warning the user about adding a trailing "/" is unnecessary so don't do it. I think its confusing to not call out spaces / to lump them in with special characters so call out the sapces.
Test Plan: moved a page around and verified no warning if the slug is missing a "/" as user specified and that a change to spaces is called out

Summary: Working towards a more unified look and feel. This brings in Lato as a complete base font over Helvetica Neue, as well as removing Source Sans Pro from DocumentView and Conpherence. Design-wise Lato provides the nice readability at larger font sizes that Source Sans Pro did, with the ability to scale down to tables and UI widgets with ease. This gives us one font instead of two, and now Object descriptions and Timeline posts all can benefit from a consistent, readable font.

Summary:
Ref T8455. The Herald code in general isn't nearly as modular as it should be, and the subscriber code particularly has some legacy cruft. This is making it fragile and causing the issue described in T8455.
Currently, each Herald adapter has essentially identical code which it uses to determine which users are subscribed to an object. Instead, share code between object types.
I removed "explicitCCs":
- The value was always identical to doing the query in the common/standard way.
- They were only used to print a diagnostic message on transcripts, which I think is no longer relevant.
- I believe it predates transactions, so when it was added you couldn't figure out the old object state by looking at the transaction history. Now, CC changes are recorded there, so there's no need to restate the CC state on the transcript.
- Even if we do want to restore this (or something similar), we can do it directly from Herald now.
Test Plan:
- Created rules that use the "CCs" field in Herald, Pholio, Maniphest and Differential.
- Updated objects in each application.
- Observed valid field reads in the tranascript.
- Grepped for `FIELD_CC`.

Summary:
Ref T6367. Do all mail, feed, notification and search stuff from the daemons, in all editors.
There are four relatively-stateful editors (Audit, Differential, Phriction, PhortuneCart) which needed special care to move state into the daemons properly.
Beyond that, I moved mailTo/mailCC/feedRelated/feedNotify to be computed before we enter the worker:
- This is simpler, since a lot of editors rely on being able to call `$object->getReviewers()` or similar to compute them.
- This is more correct, since we want to freeze the lists at this moment in time.
Finally, I renamed `loadEdges` to `willPublish` and made it a slightly more general hook.

This is a bit fragile and I'm not //thrilled// about it.
It would probably be cleaner to have separate Editor and Publisher classes (something like @fabe's D11329 did). However, I think that's quite a lot of work, and I'd like to see stronger motivation for it (either in this actually being more fragile than I think, or there being other things we get out of it). Overall, I'm comfortable with this change, just definitely not a big fan of the "save" + "load" pattern since I think it's really fragile, nonobvious, hard to debug/predict, etc.
