a91004ef1b Detect timezone discrepancies and prompt users to reconcile them
Summary: Ref T3025. This adds a check for different client/server timezone offsets and gives users an option to fix them or ignore them.

Test Plan:
  - Fiddled with timezone in Settings and System Preferences.
  - Got appropriate prompts and behavior after simulating various trips to and from exotic locales.

In particular, this slightly tricky case seems to work correctly:

  - Travel to NY.
  - Ignore discrepancy (you're only there for a couple hours for an important meeting, and returning to SF on a later flight).
  - Return to SF for a few days.
  - Travel back to NY.
  - You should be prompted again, since you left the timezone after you ignored the discrepancy.

bbb321395a Support Aphlict clustering
Summary:
Ref T6915. This allows multiple notification servers to talk to each other:

  - Every server has a list of every other server, including itself.
  - Every server generates a unique fingerprint at startup, like "XjeHuPKPBKHUmXkB".
  - Every time a server gets a message, it marks it with its personal fingerprint, then sends it to every other server.
  - Servers do not retransmit messages that they've already seen (already marked with their fingerprint).
  - Servers learn other servers' fingerprints after they send them a message, and stop sending them messages they've already seen.

This is pretty crude, and the first message to a cluster will transmit N^2 times, but N is going to be like 3 or 4 in even the most extreme cases for a very long time.

The fingerprinting stops cycles, and stops servers from sending themselves copies of messages.

We don't need to do anything more sophisticated than this because it's fine if some notifications get lost when a server dies. Clients will reconnect after a short period of time and life will continue.

Test Plan:
  - Wrote two server configs.
  - Started two servers.
  - Told Phabricator about all four services.
  - Loaded Chrome and Safari.
  - Saw them connect to different servers.
  - Sent messages in one, got notifications in the other (magic!).
  - Saw the fingerprinting stuff work on the console, no infinite retransmission of messages, etc.

(This pretty much just worked when I ran it the first time so I probably missed something?)

2930733ac9 Complete modernization of Aphlict configuration
Summary:
Fixes T10697. This finishes bringing the rest of the config up to cluster power levels.

Phabricator is now given an arbitrarily long list of notification servers.

Each Aphlict server is given an arbitrarily long list of ports to run services on.

Users are free to make them meet in the middle by proxying whatever they want to whatever else they want.

This should also accommodate clustering fairly easily in the future.

Also rewrote the status UI and changed a million other things. 🐗

49d93dcf98 Add a cluster.read-only option
Summary:
Ref T4571. There will be a very long path beyond this, but add a basic read-only mode. You can explicitly enable this to put Phabricator in a sort of "maintenance" mode today if you're swapping databases or something.

In the long term, we'll automatically degrade into this mode if the master database is down.

Test Plan:
  - Enabled read-only mode.
  - Browsed around.
  - Didn't immediately see anything that was totally 100% broken.

Most stuff is 80-90% broken right now. For example:

  - Stuff like submitting comments doesn't work, and gives you a confusing, unhelpful error.
  - None of the UI really knows that it's read-only. EditEngine stuff should all hide itself and say "you can't add new comments while an install is in read-only mode", for example, but currently does not.

c019f76283 Make profile menu full-height
Summary:
Ref T10054. This makes the profile menu full-height. It uses two pieces of dark magic:

  - `calc()`, which allows you to do math in CSS.
  - The `vh` unit, which is CSS for "viewport height".

Apparently this kind of stuff just works now? CSS got good at some point?

e869e7df0b When logged-out users hit a "Login Required" dialog, try to choose a better "next" URI
Summary:
Ref T10004. After a user logs in, we send them to the "next" URI cookie if there is one, but currently don't always do a very good job of selecting a "next" URI, especially if they tried to do something with a dialog before being asked to log in.

In particular, if a logged-out user clicks an action like "Edit Blocking Tasks" on a Maniphest task, the default behavior is to send them to the standalone page for that dialog after they log in. This can be pretty confusing.

See T2691 and D6416 for earlier efforts here. At that time, we added a mechanism to //manually// override the default behavior, and fixed the most common links. This worked, but I'd like to fix the //default// beahvior so we don't need to remember to `setObjectURI()` correctly all over the place.

ApplicationEditor has also introduced new cases which are more difficult to get right. While we could get them right by using the override and being careful about things, this also motivates fixing the default behavior.

Finally, we have better tools for fixing the default behavior now than we did in 2013.

Instead of using manual overrides, have JS include an "X-Phabricator-Via" header in Ajax requests. This is basically like a referrer header, and will contain the page the user's browser is on.

In essentially every case, this should be a very good place (and often the best place) to send them after login. For all pages currently using `setObjectURI()`, it should produce the same behavior by default.

I'll remove the `setObjectURI()` mechanism in the next diff.

Test Plan: Clicked various workflow actions while logged out, saw "next" get set to a reasonable value, was redirected to a sensible, non-confusing page after login (the page with whatever button I clicked on it).

300c74c49d Make mobile navigation work properly by default in more cases
Summary:
Fixes T5752. This obsoletes a bunch of old patterns and I'll follow up on those with a big "go do a bunch of mechanical code changes" task. Major goals are:

  - Don't load named queries multiple times on search pages.
  - Don't require extra code to get standard navigation right on mobile.
  - Reduce the amount of boilerplate in ListControllers.
  - Reduce the amount of boilerplate around navigation/menus in all controllers.

Specifically, here's what this does:

  - The StandardPage is now a smarter/more structured object with `setNavigation()` and `setCrumbs()` methods. More rendering decisions are delayed until the last possible moment.
    - It uses this to automatically add crumb actions to the application menu.
    - It uses this to automatically reuse one SearchEngine instead of running queries multiple times.
  - The new preferred way to build responses is `$this->newPage()` (like `$this->newDialog()`), which has structured methods for adding stuff (`setTitle()`, etc).
  - SearchEngine exposes a new convenience method so you don't have to do all the controller delegation stuff.
  - Building menus is generally simpler.

Test Plan:
  - Tested paste list, view, edit, comment, raw controllers for functionality, mobile menu, crumbs, navigation menu.
  - Edited saved queries.
  - Tested Differential, Maniphest (no changes).
  - Verified the paste pages don't run any duplicate NamedQuery queries.

2ca269cb31 Replace Roboto Slab with Aleo for PHUIDocumentView
Summary: These fonts are functionally very similar, but in diagnosing a problem with mobile Safari/Chrome, it turned out that our use of "bold" with the "normal" font build created a "semibold" look when on desktop and a "normal" look on mobile. The "semibold" feel is more important, so finding a lighter "bold" font was the impetus for this font switch. As it turns out **Aleo** is built by the same author as **Lato** (our other font) and is intended as it's companion. So stylistically, this is the more correct font.

c45ba30416 Redesign Diviner
Summary:
This implements `PHUIDocumentViewPro` which should move to be the base for all documents (Phame, Phriction, Legalpad, Diviner). Overall this feels really good to me, but I'd like to roll it out into Diviner specifically first to work through the issues and then move into other apps and drop `PHUIDocumentView` once everything is converted. Some features are:

 - White Background, no border on page
 - Table of Contents is move to hidden menu (more space for documentation)
 - Property List sits under the document

Some design decisions above are in anticipation of Phriction v3 and Unbeta Phame, specifically commenting and maybe some cool new Remarkup text layout options for Phame.

Test Plan:
Went through tons of pages on Diviner on Desktop, Tablet, Mobile. Bounce back to Phriction to make sure DocumentView CSS changes actually look better there.

Summary: Working towards a more unified look and feel. This brings in Lato as a complete base font over Helvetica Neue, as well as removing Source Sans Pro from DocumentView and Conpherence. Design-wise Lato provides the nice readability at larger font sizes that Source Sans Pro did, with the ability to scale down to tables and UI widgets with ease. c94bd8e4f2 Stop using JX.Scrollbar for main page content
Summary:
Ref T8151. This is option (5). It needs a few adjustments but feels pretty good. Major issues are:

  - Without a mouse, the scrollbars overlap by default, so we //must// move the column off the right margin.
  - Scrolling sometimes "bleeds" between the chat vs the main frame in a way that's not as discrete as the old framed content, but feels generally reasonable to me.

If we pursue this, I'd plan to make these additional changes:

  - Move the panel away from the right margin only if the page scrollbars are zero-width (i.e., in OSX trackpad mode).
  - Fix the notch in the upper right corner when the chat is moved away from the right margin.
  - Probably remove the body "overflow-y: scroll" on Conpherence and Workboards.
  - Update the resizing code to deal with 300px vs 315px widths.
  - We can probably clean up some JX.Scrollbar "main panel" code.

Here's the "bad" case, where I've visually separated the column to provide room for a scrollbar. This isn't ideal, but looks and feels OK to me:

2fab72d43b Quicksand - update title while navigating about
Summary: Fixes T7744. Also fixes a bug where we were copying the response object erroneously; that's not necessary to move around since we cleanly initialize it for each load

Test Plan: from user profile, clicked feed tab and saw new title. clicked calendar tab and saw new title. clicked back and saw feed title and page render.

d8ab5f594c Quicksand - make page object notifications work properly with quicksand
Summary: Fixes T7680. Make it so the listen behavior can be initialized multiple times from the server by having the behavior only update a few static data variables on subsequent initializations.

Test Plan:
visited TX with user A and left a comment with user B and got the "reload" and "TX updated" bubbles.
Reloaded and navigated to /maniphest/ with user A and had user B leave another comment on TX - no "reload" bubble and correct "TX updated" bubble.
Navigated to TX again with user A and had user B leave a comment and got the "reload" and "TX updated" bubbles.
visited TX with user A and left a comment with user B and got the "reload" and "TX updated" bubbles. navigated away with user A and the "reload" bubble was automagically closed.

4d5badeec0 Quicksand - provide some plumbing for fancier updates
Summary: Ref D12448. Ref T7573. This changes quicksand up a bit so rather than caching just rendered HTML we also cache the initial response from the server. We also fire off a quicksand-redraw event which will let things like the page objects for notifications update correctly while using Quicksand (see D12448).

Test Plan: loaded up /p/btrahan/ Clicked the UI elements to navigate to various profile views up to maniphest. clicked back until back at /p/btrahan/ and it worked. clicked forward until all the way back to maniphest and it worked. clicked back 2x, then clicked new links, then back and it worked

7aebd2388f Remove monospaced font preference global defaults
Summary: Fixes T7764. These settings have low utility, are no longer used by default, have become less useful on modern Windows which has a better selection of available fonts, and will eventually be subsumed (at least, for the most part) by T4103.

Test Plan:
  - Grepped for strings.
  - Viewed settings.
  - Changed font to "24px impact".
  - Viewed diffs with default and custom font.

21454842bf Fix comment previews in Quicksand
Summary:
Fixes T7063. Fixes T7059. We were running some extra unnecessary behaviors. In particular, we would render the menu but not actually send it over the wire, so some behaviors would execute, fail to find the nodes they expected, and throw. This cascaded into some other failures.

Do less work and don't activate behaviors which won't be able to run.

Test Plan: Clicked around, no more errors on page transition. Comment previews work.

1c32c9b965 Improve granluarity and defaults of security.allow-outbound-http
Summary:
Ref T6755. This is a partial fix, but:

  - Allow netblocks to be blacklisted instead of making the feature all-or-nothing.
  - Default to disallow requests to all reserved private/local/special IP blocks. This should generally be a "safe" setting.
  - Explain the risks better.
  - Improve the errors rasied by Macro when failing.
  - Removed `security.allow-outbound-http`, as it is superseded by this setting and is somewhat misleading.
    - We still make outbound HTTP requests to OAuth.
    - We still make outbound HTTP requests for repositories.

From a technical perspective:

  - Separate URIs that are safe to link to or redirect to (basically, not "javascript://") from URIs that are safe to fetch (nothing in a private block).
  - Add the default blacklist.
  - Be more careful with response data in Macro fetching, and don't let the user see it if it isn't ultimately valid.

Additionally:

  - I want to do this check before pulling repositories, but that's enough of a mess that it should go in a separate diff.
  - The future implementation of T4190 needs to perform the fetch check.

Test Plan:
  - Fetched a valid macro.
  - Fetched a non-image, verified it didn't result in a viewable file.
  - Fetched a private-ip-space image, got an error.
  - Fetched a 404, got a useful-enough error without additional revealing response content (which is usually HTML anyway and not useful).
  - Fetched a bad protocol, got an error.
  - Linked to a local resource, a phriction page, a valid remote site, all worked.
  - Linked to private IP space, which worked fine (we want to let you link and redierect to other private services, just not fetch them).
  - Added and executed unit tests.

7d7deaf698 Conpherence - fix "pop in" effect
Summary: Ref T7014. This got broken in today's action. For whatever reason the only way I can get the CSS to show up correctly is to move the require statement to where it was before rP5ef99dba2afc9f9ed3ca77707366a78be15f4871. Otherwise, this feature massages the UI a bit to make sure the "loading" stuff is set correctly in this state.

Test Plan: toggled conpherence open and it looked good. reloaded and it looked good.

Summary:
This is cool in theory, but has broken like 5 times and is broken now too. The CSS magic just isn't robust enough to keep up with CSS changes.

6fa507987d Generalize URI pattern blacklist for Quicksand
Summary:
Fixes T7060. Removes some hard-coding.

This assumes that "pages with no durable column" and "pages with no Quicksand" are the same, but that's correct today and I can't come up with a use case where they'd be different offhand.

  - Clicked into Conpherence with column open, got real navigation.

2373185e9b Conpherence - introduce ConpherenceThreadManager
Summary:
Ref T7014. Fixes T7473. This adds a class to handle thread state about what thread is loaded and what transaction we've seen last. It is deployed 100% in the durable column and only partially deployed in the regular view. Future diff(s) should clean up regular view. Note ConpherenceThreadManager API might change a bit at that time.

Also includes a bonus bug fix so logged out users can't toggle this column

27a60bdb3c Conpherence - make the durable column kind of work and stuff
Summary:
Ref T7014. This hooks up the durable column such that when you open it up it loads your most recent Conpherence. You can then switch amongst the various widgets and stuff and everything works nicely.

Except...

 - scroll bar does not work
   - also doesn't work at HEAD when I add a ton of text to the UI with no changes? (wrapped $copy in array_fill(0, 1000, $copy))
 - "widget selector" does not collapse when you select something else
   - this part wasn't really specified so I used the aphlict dropdown stuff. didn't want to keep working on that if this was the wrong UI choice
 - can not edit title
   - do we still want that to be done by clicking on the title, which pops a dialogue?
 - can not add participants or calendar events
   - what should this UI be? maybe just a button on the top for "participants" and a button on the bottom for calendar? both on top?
 - this is not pixel perfect to the mock or two I've seen around. Aside from generally being bad at that, I definitely didn't get the name + timestamps formatting correctly, because the standard DOM of that has timestamp FIRST which appears second due to a "float right". Seemed like a lot of special-casing for what might not even be that important in the UI so I punted. (And again, there's likely many unknown ways in which this isn't pixel perfect)

There's also code quality issues

 - `ConpherenceWidgetConfigConstants` is hopefully temporary or at least gets more sleek as we keep progressing here
 - copied some CSS from main Conpherence app
   - DOM structure is pretty different
   - there's some minor CSS tweaks too given the different width (not to mention the DOM structure being different)
 - copied some JS from behavior-pontificate.js to sync threads relative to aphlict updates
 - JS in general is like a better version of existing JS; these should collapse I'd hope?
 - maybe the aphlict-behavior-dropdown change was badsauce?

...but all that said, this definitely feels really nice and I feel like adding stuff is going to be really easy compared to how normal Conpherence is.

Also includes a bonus bug fix - we now correctly update participation. The user would encounter this issue if they were in a conpherence that got some updates and then they went to a different page; they would have unread status for the messages that were ajax'd in. This patch fixes that by making sure we mark participation up to date with the proper transaction in all cases.

Test Plan: hit "\" to invoke the column and saw nice loading UI and my latest conpherence load. sent messages and verified they received A-OK by looking in DOM console. toggled various widges and verified they rendered correctly. opened up a second browser with a second user on the thread, sent a message, and it was received in a nice asynchronous fashion
