- Update vWii links
- No need for a Table of Contents for a literal one section page.
- Merge vWii and Wii Mini sections in the Get Started page
- No need to repeat "need help? Join us" in the WiiWare patcher section

* FAQ redo

- vWii & Wii Mini QNA removed since they're already answered in the guide
- Same for firmware question
- RiiConnect24 questions related to initail install should be in that page.
- Explain error that it's in Wiimifi.
- Redesign page to have Questions and answers on separate lines, remove backgrounds and use h3's

* Fix instructions numering in the markdown file itself

* Merge 3 pages into one and remove step from str2hax page

What is Wii Guide?

Wii Guide is a guide maintained by the RiiConnect24 team to get you started with Wii modding.

There are a few good resources for Wii modding and troubleshooting that can help:

For modding a Wii U, there are some more options:

What is "homebrew"?

Homebrew refers to unofficial software including games, utilities, emulators and others.

Running homebrew on your Nintendo Wii is free using the str2hax, LetterBomb or FlashHax exploits. There are also various other exploits in commercial games to get homebrew running.

What can I do with homebrew?

Here's a list of things you can do with it. While these aren't all the things you can do with homebrew, it should give you a starting point for things you can do. Our guide is meant for you to easily get started, but we have links associated with the things on the list to help you get started.

  • Run homebrew applications such as media players, disk copiers, save managers and more.
  • Patch game disk contents (allowing you to load game modifications) using Riivolution
  • Theme and customize your Wii Menu using MyMenuify.
  • Install an all-in-one menu to launch all your favorite titles.
  • Restore discontinued online services, such as WiiConnect24 & Nintendo WFC services.
  • Backup and restore copies of your Wii system memory (NAND) using BootMii.
  • Protect your Wii from bricks using Priiloader
  • Install applications to your System Menu
    • Homebrew applications could use forwarders to launch the .elf file on the SD card.
